Inter is able to skeak through the first gameweek of the season with a solid offensive performance, but a poor defensive performance against Toronto FC Tuesday at the San Siro. When asked, what went wrong? Italian defender, Nesta answered, "To be honest, I have no idea, one moment we were fine, having the game of our lives and the next we were helping Cech pick the ball our of our own net." Nesta and the rest of the Italian squad hope that next week they will see a more well rounded game, and not have the butterflies with minutes left to go.
During their match agaisnt Manchester United, many television sets were turned of early by the Italian supporters, as they had to sit through a pummeling of almost every aspect of the game, even in yellow cards! Maybe Inter should consider a lot of hard training like Arsene Wegner did with Arsenal and see if they can bounce back next week with a tough match at the SanSiro agaisnt Barcelona.
They certainly didn't follow any advice posibly given to them this week as they played so bad, anybody with a functional brain would be embarrased. "Go back to the training grounds. That's all the advice I have to offer." Says IFC co-owner Josh Gallant

POST GAME REPORT
Inter v.s Toronto FC
Inter was able to hold on to a victory that should have been a whole lot easier then it turned out to be. they were up 3-0 with 15 minutes to go, and then all of a sudden the defence broke down and all of a sudden the score was 4-3 for Inter. Luckily Inter's top three strikers were able to keep Toronto FC below them by knotting four goals, one for Samuel Eto'o, one for David Villa and two for Eduardo. Abidal seemed to have had a sold game until the 75 minute and his game just hit the dirt. They will definetly be looking for a more solid defensive effort for a full 90 minutes next week agaisnt Manchester United.
Manchester United v.s Inter
Well, lets just they didn't play a full 90 minutes, actually they didnt even play 2 minutes. Manchester United was all over them in possesion, goals, shots tackles, etc. Manchester United's John Carew popped in an early one just 4 minutes into the match and it seemed like the entire rest of the game Inter didn't believe they were able to get back in it. The attitude is really what killed them in the end, certainly for next weeks fixture they will want to consider an attitude change in a positive way.
Inter v.s Barcelona
I guess they just don't like what Jose Mourinho is teaching them in practice. Even if they did they're certainly not showing it. This was most definetly a repeat of last weeks match against Manchester United, Absolutly Dreadful. "This game was terible, awful, horific, and most importantly, PATHETIC. We didn't show we wanted to win, we didn't even show we wanted to be there, if I were a manager, i would make my team do a full week of fitness and punishment after today's match." stated Inter midfielder David Silva, "We started strong, then got waaaaaay too cocky about our big, huge gameweek 1 victory. If we play calm, composed and with attitude this league will bow down to us. I can guarentee that."
